Burrow Mump is a semi-hard cheese, with a compressed texture and a sweet, nutty flavour which is washed in local Somerset Cider Brandy. We age it for eight weeks and within this time it develops its sweet and nutty personality. Flavours are all savoury including nuances of almonds and olive brine with a herbal, floral lift. Burrow Mump is named after a hill and historic site in Somerset.
Grate over pasta, salads, or just about any meal, it is also delicious on a cheeseboard.
Made with unpasteurised milk and vegetarian rennet.
